Cosmetology As a Career Choice

Many of our graduates were working in jobs they hated prior to coming to Salinas Beauty College, and now they work in a profession they love.
Cosmetology
The cosmetologist may work in a salon as a hairstylist, manicurist, cosmetician (esthetician), perm / straighten technician, hair color technician, makeup artist, shop manager, salon owner or concessionaire, or salon supervisor. The working cosmetologist has many advantages: A career in the beauty industry provides flexibility for mothers with growing families. Many of our high school students, when completing our course, have literally worked their way through college. The profession is highly lucrative – so lucrative that many full-time stylists are presently making incomes in the six-figure range. Even part-time workers like mothers can make relatively decent amounts.
Our objective at Salinas Beauty College is to train our students in the skills needed to secure and maintain employment in the beauty industry and to pass the state exam for necessary licensure. Currently, our exam pass rate is one of the highest in California. Plus, we teach in both English and Spanish.

Salinas Beauty College is located in the Valley Center shopping center at 916 South Main Street in Salinas. There is easy access with the use of public and private transportation, not to mention unlimited parking. We can accommodate 85 adult cosmetology students.
